Town Nasavrky for English tourists
The town of Nasavrky lies 13 kilometres southward of the town Chrudim and 20 kilometres of the town Pardubice. It is situated on northeastern slope of the Iron mountains.
Nasavrky and its surroundings offer excellent conditions for hiking and cycling in summer and for cross-country skiing in winter. Here is many marked paths for this sports.

The place of interest in Nasavrky and the surroundings:
In Nasavrky:
- The castle: originally there was a fortress at this place. Around 1600 the fortress was rebuilt and changed into a Renaissance castle. The building of this castle was reconstructed considerably in the 1990s. In this building you can visit Tourist information centre on ground floor, the permanent exhibit „On the trail of the Celts“ on the first floor, the annual summer exhibition of works of arts called „Palet of Nasavrky“ and musical evenings on second floor.
- Church of St.‘Giles in the square
- Kaštanka – In the 1770s the Auerspergs planted a number of edible chestnut trees near the castle garden and nowadays you can visit this park that is called „Kaštanka“
In the near surrounding:
- Look-out tower Boika at České Lhotice
- Relics of Celtic oppidum at Hradiště
- Natural reservation of Krkanka and so called Hell of Strádov in the valley of the river Chrudimka
- Celtic path through the Iron mountains (it starts from Nasavrky, the lenght of trip is 9 km around Nasavrky)
- The castle ruins of Strádov by the river Chrudimka
- The protect forest Slavice
- The native forest Polom at Horní Bradlo

- Chrudim – historical centre, the museum of puppets, the regional museum
- Slatiňany – the chateau with a muzeum of horses, horse stalls
- Veselý kopec – open-air museum, the original timbered houses and a number of technical equipment
- Hlinsko – Betlém: a unique building in the centre of Hlinsko from 18th and 19th centuries
- Košumberk – the ruins of the gothic castle of Košumberk with renaissance additions
- Lichnice – the large ruins of the castle stand on a rocky hill
- Ležáky – a monument to the tragic event of the destruction of this village during the Heydrichiada (24 June 1942)
- Seč – the dam in beautiful natural scenery, directly above the surface of the Seč dam are the ruins of the Oheb castle
- Heřmanův Městec – a preserved synagogue, the Jewish cemetery, gallery
- The Iron Mountains (= Železné hory Mts.): The Železné hory Mts. Landscape Protection Area is 284 square kilometres large. High number of various biotopes exists in the region of the Železné hory Mts. Landscape Protection Area. A sparse structure of housing estates, remains of local folk buildings and rich vegetation have been conserved in the region. There has been recent tourism development (especially hiking and cycling), due to the area’s location close to the big cities and also due to the rich and varied landscape.
